FEATI University’s placement program partners with Jobs180.com

STA. CRUZ, Manila -- A good education is only as good when graduates land jobs that will give them both financial security and professional growth. Part of the mission of FEATI University, the trailblazing aviation and maritime school in the country, is to ensure that its graduates are able to make good use of their holistic education and training to contribute to the growth of the companies that hired them.

Partnering with Jobs180.com, a well-respected job site company, has been for years been a fruitful investment of FEATI University because of its professionalism in matching jobs of FEATIU graduates with the top companies in the country.

The University’s job placement and career preparation program called Graduating Students’ Preparation Program or GradSPreP is now on its 12th year of preparing graduating FEATIU students.

GradSPreP Director, Engr. Enrique A. Macaspac said, “We are now on the 12th year of GradSPreP for our graduating students! This AY 2017-2018, the program will also be implemented to ensure that our graduates are better armed when they face their prospective employers and get selected for the jobs they applied for.” To the students Engr. Macaspac said: “In addition to the knowledge, skills and values obtained here at FEATI University, GradSPreP will equip you with the advantage of readiness and confidence in landing a job (…) making your participation in the activities of GradSPreP an added, fulfilling learning for your benefit and an unforgettable part of your Greater FEATI Experience.” The GradSPreP Committee and the Student Assistance Services Office (SASO) organized a GradSPrep activity dubbed ‘Marketing Me!’ held on October 5, 2017 at the FEATI Activity Center. Mr. Karl Ivan del Rosario, Academic Linkages Officer of Jobs180.com, was the guest speaker who gave a presentation that inspired FEATI graduates to follow their dreams and aim high, a mindset that the university has always instilled in its students from day one. Del Rosario also gave tips and pointers to the graduating students on how to prepare their resume, application letters and job portfolio, as well as tips on handling job interviews and the proper attire for the interviews.

This is where GradSPreP of FEATI University becomes indispensable. Exclusive to FEATI University, GradSPreP was designed to help graduating students ‘advertise’ or ‘market’ themselves the right way, focusing on a more methodical way of giving prospective employers a thorough picture of what a FEATI University graduate is made of, said Engr. Macaspac. This program was crafted for students to be exposed properly to the real job environment by immersing them in career talks, seminars, workshops, diagnostic exams, practice interviews, résumé preparation, job fairs, and techniques in the different digital applications.

Other University officials present to lend their support to the program were: Dean Tristan H. Macapanpan of the College of Business and Vice Chair of the Academic Council; Mercedes H. Duterte, OIC-Director of the Office of Student Affairs; Raquel S. Navarro, Guidance Psychometrician; and Salvacion T.
