FEATI Ties Up with Negros Navigation for Shipboard Familiarization Program
FEATI University embarks on its official tie up with Negros Navigation through their seven-day shipboard familiarization program.
“The shipboard program will be of great benefit to our management and tourism students by exposing them to hands-on experience in the actual practices on board a Negros Navigation vessel.” Said College of Business OIC Dean Cesar F. Domingo, MBA.
Shipboard familiarization consists of hands-on experience and focused lectures on the actual ship shop and front office management practices to help students become well-rounded and competitive in the global marketplace.
Ship shop and office management topics include the basics of the accounting process, records keeping, marketing process, image enhancement and effective communication skills. A specific module on tour packaging will also be covered.
The familiarization program kicks off on February 1, 2009 when the first batch of FEATI students goes on board at Pier 2 of Manila North Harbor. The pioneer students are: Angelica Babas, Christian Chico, Joreen Mitchell Chua, Marlon Claveria, Veverly Ellivera, Minerva Feria, Juan Miguel Gonzalez, Alexander Manipon, Alyanan Manipon, Erecson Pile, Marjolyn Raborar, Juneilrin Reyes and Maria Cecilia Santuyo. They will be supervised by their faculty advisers from the College of Business, Mr. Bernard R. Letrero, MBA and Mrs. Paraluman P. Wilwayco.(PPW) |
