FEATI University's much-anticipated Science and Technology Expo is on its 10th edition!
FEATI University is ready for this year’s bigger and widely-anticipated annual Science and Technology (S&T) Fair from February 28 until March 1, 2013. The theme this year, S&T Expo@10 “Panibagong Dekada ng Pagtuklas: Paglalakbay Tungo sa Kaunlaran,” organized by the FEATI Office for Research Development and Extension Services (ORDE) and headed by College of Engineering Dean and ORDE Director, Dr. Rogelio A. Panlasigui, provides an opportunity for our students, faculty members, alumni and guest schools to showcase their technology-oriented research work and projects. The Expo features exhibits, demonstrations and a science research competition of selected high schools in Metro Manila and nearby regions. Moreover, there will be the 6th Quik Minds Orienteering Challenge. This highly successful competition introduced in 2007 pits high school teams going through multiple stations that feature intellectual challenges.
FEATI University will open its doors for viewing to future engineers, scientists, technicians, mariners, architects, artists, educators, businessmen and successful professionals. Our laboratories, library, offices and other facilities together with our faculty and employees will welcome guests in an open house fashion.
The Keynote Address for the opening program on the 28th shall be delivered by Dr. Catherine Q. Castañeda, Director IV, NCR Regional Dircctor of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Aside from FEATI University’s very own coterie of exhibitors (courtesy of the various colleges and departments), high schools participating in the Orienteering Challenge and On-the-spot Art Competition are Antonio Maceda Integrated School, Cayetano Arellano HS, Claro M. Recto HS, Lakan Dula HS, Las Piñas City National Science HS, Nazarene Catholic School, Ramon Magsaysay HS, Rizal HS, Valenzuela Science HS, Victorino Mapa HS, Antonio Maceda Integrated School, Cayetano Arellano HS, Las Piñas City National Science HS, Nazarene Catholic School, Ramon Magsaysay HS, and Victorino Mapa HS. Their entries and Orienteering Challenge results are all going to be judged by an esteemed panel of judges composed of Prof. Glaiza Rosa S. Blanca – Chair, Sciences Department, FEATI University; Dr. Francesca Celine Catalan – UP-National Institute of Physics; and, Engr. Joyrence Mervin Q. Agas – Head, Social Orientation and Community Involvement Program, Mapua Institute of Technology
