FEATI’s Got Talent Season 2 Crowns New Champion in Spooktacular Aftermath
And then there was one.
Twelve Grand Finalists with different sets of talents gave it their absolute best in front of judges McCoy Fundales (Kenyo/Orange and Lemons); Iyah Tiu Ladip (VIVA Talent/Songstress); and Roberto ‘Bobby’ Tobillo (Joey De Leon Kalokalike/Library Bar Performer). Of these twelve, there was one performance that made a lasting impression.
Mr. and Mrs. Dead Forever aka The Foreheads with a score of 96% took the grand prize of PhP6,000.00 plus certificates and loot bags from Globe and Gatsby becoming FEATI’s Got Talent Season 2’s unbeatable performance of the year! The Foreheads were followed by first runner-up Danielle Roi Flores with a score of 86.33%; second runner-up IT Professionals scoring 84.67%; and third runner-up Gagstugs rounding out the winners’ circle with 73.33%. The runners-up received (in the order that they placed) PhP4,000.00, PhP3,000.00 and PhP2,000.00 in cash plus certificates and loot bags from long-time FEATI sponsors Globe and Gatsby. This being the finals, the rest of the FGTS2 best had something to take home for their entertaining performances.
Also in this year’s growing list of FEATI supporters were Hawk Bags, The Bar, Worthrand Petro Power Corporation, Sensitivity Lights, and Isetann Department Store. Hawk Bags, Globe, Gatsby, and Isetannn extended their generous streak to the audience as backpacks, prepaid cards, hair products and gift certificates were either raffled off or given as game prizes during the competition and the party that followed after. The Bar also stepped up with an open bar where guests had a blast sampling their drinks.
A Spooktacular Halloween Party followed the event where Ghost Bride Reena Vanessa Alcantara, Dr. Graveyard Shift Ginza Chavez, and Count Dracula Dio Charles Lorienzo Ofiana stood out from the eerie pool of monster scarers. Reena Vanessa Alcantara and Ginza Chavez tied for the win to split PhP2,000.00 even while Dio Charles Lorienzo Ofiana bit off the whole chunk of the PhP2,000.00 unopposed for female and male in best costume respectively.
FEATI Events & Promotions and Alumni Affairs Head Melanie P. Florentino says, “It was one of the most difficult events to mount because our goal in Events was to make it spectacular and spooktacular for everyone. Thanks to our sponsors and the support of the FEATI community, I am glad that it was well received. Everybody had a great time. It was definitely worth the hard work and the months of preparation. Job well done to the Events team of Mhai Clariño, Michael Sylva, Teng Ladip of SASO, Jericho of GE Department and everyone who worked behind the scenes and saw these events through to their successful conclusion.”
Partnering with Events as co-presentor was the Geodetic Engineering Department with Department Chair Engr. Enrique A. Macaspac on hand and upbeat during his Welcome Remarks as he encouraged events like these for the students to thoroughly enjoy. Also there to support were Dr. Gloria Mateo-Alberto (EVP & COO), Janice L. Young (Associate Dean, School of Fine Arts), Lani Diaceno and Leni Anzo (official tabulator of FGTS2), members of the academe and FEATI corporate office.
