Congratulations, Dean Tristan H. Macapanpan!
FEATI University College of Business Dean Tristan H. Macapanpan is the 2011 OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL AWARDEE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION of the U.P. Alumni Association Iloilo Chapter.
This is hardly surprising news from someone whose achievements are nothing less than impeccable, impressive, and worthy of emulation. He graduated valedictorian of his high school class in U.P. Iloilo and then he went on to finish B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at one of the Philippines’ premiere educational institutions, U.P. Diliman. Then he obtained a Master of Business Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management, where he was on the Dean’s List during his first year of studies. He made his way back to U.P. Diliman where he has completed academic courses towards a Doctorate in Business Administration.
He has taught with distinction at St. Scholastica’s College, Ateneo Graduate School of Business, University of Asia & the Pacific, De La Salle University, University of the Philippines, and the University of the East.
Before joining the ranks of prized educators in the academe, Dean Macapanpan was called upon to contribute his God-given talent and skill to the government and the private sector. Very early in his foray into corporate life, he worked at Procter and Gamble Philippines as a Shift Manager in the Detergents Divisions and as a Department Industrial Engineer. He was a consultant for the Quezon City Government and Philippine Institute of Developmental Studies. He was the president and GM of the Pagdanan Transport Company. He held various executive and management level positions during his decade long stint at the Pagdanan Timber Products, Inc. -Nationwide Princesa Timber Corporation. As vice-president, he was second-in-command at Food Producers Corporation and South Pacific Foods Manufacturing Corporation. At Solid Mills, Inc. and United Textile Mills, Inc., Dean Macapanpan was assistant vice-president for production.
Clearly whether in the academe or private sector, Dean Macapanpan has made a name for himself as a manager, executive, and leader in the field of business and operational management.
In FEATI University, Dean Macapanpan is very much in his element, managing the College of Business and lending his expertise as a professor of Strategic Management, Operations Management, and Financial Management courses.
