FEATI WELDING TRAINOR IS TESDA NATIONAL SKILLS CHAMP
Ms. Jennifer Evangelista, Trainor of FEATI University’s Welding Skills Center won the Philippine Welding Society’s 13th Annual Skills Competition on November 26, 2009 at the Norwegian Training Center, TESDA Compound in Taguig City. She bagged the Champion’s Trophy and Plaque plus the cash prize of PhP 15,000.
Over 600 professional welding trainors from all over the country competed in this annual event. Ms Evangelista was selected as one of the top 5 finalists on the last day of competition. The finalists’ welded work using 6” diameter, schedule 80 steel pipe, underwent strict evaluation which included x-ray inspection of the weldments.
Mr. Efren Ybañez of Bechtel, Mr. Eric V. Montes of Pilipinas Shell and Mr. Nestor C. Alegre, Head of the TESDA Women’s Welding Center made up the panel of judges.
