FEATI Assistant Professor of Physics presents papers at 12th International Conference on Plasma Surface Engineering in Germany
FEATI University Assistant Professor Leo Mendel Rosario attended the 12th International Conference on Plasma Surface Engineering at Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany from September 13 – 17, 2010. A CHED scholar when he finished his MS Physics in 2009, Rosario had four technical papers published in the proceedings of the conference. He was principal author of one paper and co-author of the other three technical papers. He requested, and was given a CHED travel grant to Germany for this purpose. In addition, Rosario also underwent technical training on microwave plasma systems upon the invitation of Dr. Reinhard Fischer, Managing Director of IBF Electronic GmbH, from September 14 – 21 in Ober-Ramstadt, Germany.
Rosario gave a poster presentation of the paper for which he is the principal author:
L.M. Rosario, R.M. Viloan, M.M. Villamayor, R. Tumlos, and H. Ramos, Growth of nitrogen-containing diamond-like carbon using a magnetized sheet plasma source
He gave an oral presentation of one of the papers for which he was co-author:
J.A.S. Ting, L.M.D. Rosario, R.P.B. Viloan, M.M.S. Villamayor, R.B. Tumlos, and H.J. Ramos, Optical emission spectroscopy of TiN/a-C composite film deposition by magnetron sputtering in magnetized sheet plasma source
The two other papers that were also published were the following:
[1] R. Tumlos, E. Osorio, J. Ting, L. Rosario, A. Ulano, H. Lee, Jr., G. Regalado, and H. Ramos, Vacuum and Plasma-Processed Coconut Sawdust for Removal of Methyl Red Dye in Water
