FEATI & LTTP ink cooperation agreement
FEATI University and Lufthansa Technical Training Philippines (LTTP) signed a cooperation agreement that aims to bridge the gap between industry skills requirements and the academic formation in aircraft maintenance on June 15, 2010 at FEATI University. Under this agreement, LTTP courses will be incorporated into the curricula of both the Aeronautical Engineering and Aircraft Maintenance Technology programs of the University. Students will be given the opportunity to avail of substantial discounts to attend LTTP certificated training seminars and skills training courses. The corresponding fees and discounts under this program as shown in a table in this article.
The joint cooperation program will be supervised by the FEATI University Professional Schools headed by Engr. Cesar F. Domingo.
LTTP General Manager Graham Ingram, Operations Manager Florante Peña and Executive Assistant Christine Rañola were present at the signing. FEATI University President Dr.-Ing Adolfo Jesus R. Gopez, EVP for Academic Affairs Dr. Leopoldo Abis and EVP for Compliance & Development Dr. Gloria Alberto were among the University officials present during the ceremony.
Immediately after the signing, Mr. Florante Peña gave a brief overview of the opportunities in aviation awaiting the students who attended the ceremony. He also gave a sample teaching session using computer-based simulation to give those present the flavor of an actual LTTP training session. (KAL)
