GEP Gives Posthumous Award to Engr. P.J.G. Dalire

Provincial Convention Center, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur-The Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines (GEP) presented a Posthumous Recognition Award to the late Engr. Privadi Juan G. Dalire, former FEATI GE Department Chairman, on the occasion of GEP's 34th Annual National Directorate Meeting and Convention, June 5.

The award, given only three months after the passing of Engr. Dalire, is in “recognition of his outstanding services, contributions and dedication to the highest standard of excellence rendered to the profession and organization”.

Engr. Dalire was the FEATI GE Department Chairman for thirty-five years and mentored more than 200 GE Board Exam topnotchers, 19 of whom were first placers. He also served in the Bureau of Lands and attained the rank of Chief of the Geodetic Surveys Division. At the time of his passing, he was a member of the Special Continuing Professional Education Council for Geodetic Engineering of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Dean Marzan is GEP Outstanding Geodetic Engineer in Education

Dr. Genaro T. Marzan, FEATI University Dean Emeritus was named Outstanding Geodetic Engineer in Education for 2007-2008 by the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines at the 34th Annual Convention, June 5.

Gene, as he is fondly called by friends and colleagues was Dean of FEATI College of Engineering prior to his retirement in November 2007. In recognition of his meritorious service to the University, he was granted the title of Dean Emeritus by the FEATI Executive Committee.
