FEATI’s Sleek White Booth stands out at the 19th Career Counseling & Guidance Fair

White is the new red at the Philippine Trade and Training Center as FEATI’s sleek white display lured everyone to stop and listen to what FEATI can offer last September 13 and 14, 2007. Dubbed this year as “Career, Education, Options,” the Career Counseling & Guidance Fair aims to orient College hopefuls on the various institutions offering Higher Education locally and internationally.Now on its 19th year, Philtrade houses exhibitors who wanted to promote their product to a direct audience.

For two consecutive days, they (exhibitors) are given the opportunity to entice High school students to consider their school as their life-changing destination.FEATI’s white booth embellished with tech-savvy plasma screens and pseudo i-pod
detail complimented with the standard rotating blue signage that glued passers –by to register and inquire about the courses offered by the university was a knock-out with a total of 4,261 registered students in a pool of 7,000 participants from Regions 3, 4 and NCR.

Students from Fortridge Christian High school were ecstatic upon seeing the FEATI booth, “It was awesome, and definitely high-tech,” cheered one of them.

The biggest hit of the booth was undoubtedly the digital I.D.” said Marketing Communications Officer, Joether Santos. “It wasn’t just a great marketing tool but it served as a souvenir to the students.” he added.

Although FEATI is a relatively young exhibitor compared to other schools. Its annual entries have been very successful for the past four years. Last 2006, FEATI garnered most of the major awards including Most Visited Booth. Unfortunately, the fair organizers opted to keep this year’s fair free from any competition among exhibitors. Nevertheless, the clean crisp white booth almost covered by a swarm of curious teenage College hopefuls carrying their FEATI bags was a reward in itself.

Representatives from different departments came to showcase their talents. The School of Fine Arts was a smash hit among the High School crowd as they impress them with
on-the-spot caricatures and sketches plus the active participation of the students with the IT Department by providing free tutorials on basic web designing and animation. Newly installed Maritime Superintendent, Captain Danilo Venida and Aeronautical Engineering Head Engr. Villegas were also present to conduct a brief seminar on the rudiments of their field.

“I am definitely considering to study in FEATI.” Jannie, a student from Montessori Integrated School said after she received a sketch of herself from an SFA student.

FEATI External Affairs Office, led by DEAO Ms. Melanie P. Florentino extends her gratitude to FEATI’s CEO Mr. Francisco Segovia, Executive Vice-President Mr. Gabriel Intengan, Dean of Student Affairs Sr. Nice Favorito DC, Guidance Head, Mr. Richard Janer and University Dentist, Dr. Famy for their support and assistance.
