IT FACULTY MEMBER’S “COLORFUL” IS “ARTWORK OF THE YEAR 2008” AT FIRST eCON AWARDS

So how would you describe a FEATI graduate?  Well it so happens that three FEATI University College of Maritime Education (CME) alumni have re-defined themselves through their exemplary performance in a common venue: the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Engr. Fermin De Leon Lledo, a FEATI Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering graduate of 1980 showed that a FEATI graduate can be a topnotcher--eighth to be exact, among those who passed the Chief Engineer Licensure Examination given by the PRC in May 2009.  To quote from his PRC commendation: “The Board for Marine Engineer Officers award this Certificate of Distinction to Fermin De Leon Lledo for having obtained the 8th Place in the Chief Engineer Licensure Examination (Written Phase) given by the Board for Marine Engineer Officers...”  Engr. Lledo, who is now at the pinnacle of his career, recently visited FEATI University and was personally congratulated by the President, Dr.-Ing. Adolfo Jesus R. Gopez.

On the other hand, newly-minted Chief Mate Jerry Pansoy Cambay, who acquired his Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from FEATI University on July 26, 2000, distinguished himself as a FEATI graduate who ranked second in the PRC Chief Mate Licensure Examination held in June 2009.  Jerry is on his penultimate step on the way to being a Captain.

In February of this year, Roy Llado de la Torre, a FEATI University Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation graduate of 2004 placed seventh in the PRC Examination for Officer-in-Charge of the Navigational Watch defining himself as a professional in his own right, early in his career.

Indeed, aside from personifying the upper crust of FEATI graduates, our three alumni have also left a challenge for our present day FEATINIANS to aspire and excel in their chosen fields so that in the future, they in turn would be able to leave their mark by associating a FEATI graduate with academic competence, topnotch skills and professional excellence.  Things are looking up!
