Library Hours

The University Library is open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and from   8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays (no noon break).

 Reference Services

The Library staff is trained to answer directional and informational queries either
electronically, personally or by telephone. Feel free to approach the Reference Librarian for any library-related assistance you may need.

Automated Lending Services

The University has developed a university-wide information system which also features computerized operations for some library functions. One of its features is an automated charge out/in system to provide speedy and accurate lending transaction to patrons.  This is geared towards a borrower’s card-free library.

Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)

Replacing the traditional card catalog, the OPAC leads library users to information
materials in three access points : by name of author, by title, and by subject. OPAC
stations are located at the General Reference Section and Circulation Section..

Pathfinders/Bibliographies

The Reference Librarian compiles bibliographies/research guides on topics of interest to the faculty.  The goal of the library is to create as many pathfinders/bibliographies by subject to serve as research guides..

Library Orientation

The librarians conduct library orientation to new students. Usually held during the 1st Semester of the school year, a combination of lecture, power point presentation, and library tour is used to  familiarize students to library resources, services, and facilities.

Current Awareness Services (CAS)/(SDI)

Current Awareness Services alerts the library patrons of newest acquisitions of the library.

The New Acquisitions List is posted at the library bulletin board and at the library webpage.

Journals Table- of Contents are photocopied and sent to faculty and deans to inform them of recent developments on their field of expertise.

Faculty Reading Area

Starting 1st Semester 2007-2008, the library has provided a Faculty Reading Area to make sure that the faculty are assured of a reading/research space anytime they visit the library.

Referral Service/Networking
By tradition, Filipino librarians have established an informal network by which one library borrows from another or one’s academic community avails of another’s services even without formal agreements. All that is needed is a letter of introduction from the Chief Librarian addressed to the librarian of the school you need to visit. Some libraries, however, research fee in addition to the referral letter. Feati University is a member library of the Intramuros Consortium.
Internet and Multimedia Stations

Five computer terminals with internet connection provide library users with faster and
wider source of data for their assignments or research paper. It is also through these
terminals that multimedia resources such as CDs and floppy discs are read.

Photocopying Service

For P1.00/copy for both regular and legal size paper, selected pages of a reference book, reserve/textbook, or any other library room-use only material may be reproduced in the library.
