FEATI at the 20th Career Counseling and Guidance Fair
PICC, Manila --- The Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) known for hosting numerous graduation ceremonies each year is now home to those wishing to make their way to College through Inter-Ed’s 20th Career Counseling and Guidance Fair at The Forum last September 15-16, 2008. More than 10,000 College hopefuls from 340+ High Schools attended the two-day event designed to help students make well-informed choices when deciding on a Course, College and Career.
Backed by no less than Philippine Vice-President Noli de Castro as this year’s guest of honor, Inter-Ed’s annual fair is one of the most anticipated and well-attended education events in the Philippines. Vice-President de Castro believes that providing good education for the youth is the key in building a better nation.
Exhibitor FEATI University believes in the same commitment to excellent education and considers the event as a vital tool for connecting with the youth. This year, FEATI employed a more integrated and interactive approach to reach out to the students. Deans, department chairs and faculty members conducted career talks and seminars which allowed the students to better understand each course offering. “Every College and their respective Departments were well represented for on-the-spot academic advising during the course of the exhibit” says Marketing and Events Head, Melanie P. Florentino. FEATI’s blue booth with its standard rotating signage drew a diverse group of students from the crowd by responding to the students’ career interests and concerns with their capabilities, without resorting to gimmicks. “The youth today is becoming more critical and smarter than ever. They know that their choice of university will eventually spell out the difference for them in the future.” she adds. (MKTG)
